Project Description: Reran over 750ft of old studio wiring with GLS mic cable.Ease of installation - This cable is supple yet tough. In order to meet my need, I had to pull (6) 100ft runs through several tight spaces full of turns in order to mic up the platform. This cabling was a trooper. Pulled smoothly and easily...something that cheaper cables would have struggled a lot with...and the outer insulation is hardly even scratched.Cable quality - Good quality. The outer insulation is soft and flexible. The copper shielding is consistent in its winding and is easily twisted to make your ground/earth connection. The cloth shielding is consistent and thick, providing good isolation. The Red & White wires were well-insulated too. Overall, I was impressed.Ease of connection - Making up the wall and floor plates was pretty easy. The cable soldered well and took heat shrink well.Bonus! GLS offers their cabling with different colored outer insulation, which is a big help when pulling multiple wires at a time. Combined with different color marking tape, it's a breeze to keep your entire project organized and easily labeled.Outcome: My cracks and pops have gone away. My line noise has decreased. I couldn't be more happy, and I now feel far more confident in my system. I think this is a great solution if you don't want to step all the way up to Mogami 2549.
